The ExtraFax Cloud Internet fax service lets you receive faxes to your registered email address with no hardware or software installations.
At the end of the registration process you are provided with your own personal fax number, which is a regular telephone fax number which you can then inform your clients, suppliers and colleagues of, and any fax sent to that number will be automatically forwarded to the email address provided during registration, or specified in Settings.
Once you have received a fax you can download, file, forward, print and delete your faxes just like a regular email message.
You can also open faxes by logging into the ExtraFax Cloud control panel, via our website, and navigating to your Inbox, where you can open received faxes in the ExtraFax Cloud document viewer to view, download and use advanced features such as the blackout tool.
To view faxes in the ExtraFax Cloud document viewer
- Log in to your user,
- Navigate to your ‘Inbox’ and locate the received fax in your queue,
- Click on the fax in the queue to open in the Document Viewer or use the ‘More Options’ link on the right hand side and select ‘View’.

Updating your email address
It is possible to either change the email address to which your faxes arrive, or to receive a fax to multiple email addresses simultaneously.
To change your registered email address:
- Log in to your user,
- In the Main Menu, navigate to the ‘Advanced settings’ tab, and then click ‘Profile’,
- In the ‘Email Address’ text box, add the new email address you would like to use,
- Click the ‘Ok’ link to save.
To add an additional email address:
- Log in to your user,
- In the Main Menu, navigate to the ‘Advanced settings’ tab, and then click ‘Notifications’,
- In the Header section at the top of the page, use the ‘+’ icon to ‘Add email address’,
- A new window will display, enter the email address in the ‘Email’ textbox,
- Click the ‘Add’ link to save.
- Once saved, the email address will appear in the list of addresses within the ‘Notifications’ section of your ‘Advanced settings’ and it can then be edited or deleted if required.
