If you are the owner of a shared document you can transfer the ownership of that document to another user.
There are two places where the ownership of a document can be transferred, from the Inbox and from the ExtraFax Cloud Document Viewer when a document is open.
From the Inbox
- Log in and navigate to your Inbox,
- Locate the document you would like to transfer the ownership of in your queues,
- Click the ‘More Options’ link and navigate to Share, then click on ‘Transfer Ownership’,
- In the ‘Transfer Ownership’ widow, specify the User you would like to transfer ownership of the document to. Once you begin typing a list of suggested users will be displayed,
- Add a message to the user if required and assign yourself updated permissions for the document,
- Click the ‘Update’ link to save.
From the Document Viewer
- Log in and navigate to your Inbox,
- Locate the document in your queues and click on its entry in the list to open in the document viewer,
- In the header bar at the top of the screen, click on the ‘Transfer Ownership’ link,
- In the ‘Transfer Ownership’ widow, specify the User you would like to transfer ownership of the document to. Once you begin typing a list of suggested users will be displayed,
- Add a message to the user if required and assign yourself updated permissions for the document,
- Click the ‘Update’ link to save.
