Manage your settings

When you open an account with ExtraFax Cloud, a user is automatically created and assigned the ‘Account Manager’ level of permissions, this is your primary user. Account managers can then add and manage further users under an account, adding standard users or more 'Account Managers'.

There are a number of settings available at the account and the user level, this article will cover the settings available at the user level (available to both Account Managers and Non-Account Managers).

All users have the My Settings menu, which gives access to the options available to that user, as well as information relating to any services that user has assigned to them and the available options for those services.

My Profile

In the above screenshot we can see the ‘My Settings’ menu and options on the left hand side, and the user profile page active.

Under the 'My Settings' drop down menu within the navigation sidebar, we have the following Options. Please note that the options available will depend on the services assigned to the user (send faxes, receive faxes).

Profile

The 'Profile' page allows users to update their own details, including name, email address for communications, a unique CSID for outgoing faxes and to select their timezone. Please note that these are the 'User' details and are separate to the 'Account Level' details.

Services

The 'Services' page shows the services (send or receive faxes) that are associated with the user logged in. This is also where you will find the fax number associated with your user if you have an inbound ExtraFax Cloud service.

Incoming Options

Please note: This menu item will only be available to users with an active inbound faxing service.

The following pages can be found under 'Incoming Options':

  • Notifications
    Allows users to update or add and remove email addresses that faxes are sent to when a new inbound fax is received.

Outgoing Options

Please note: This menu item will only be available to users with an active outbound faxing service.

  • Fax Pages
    Allows users to define the default page settings for their outgoing faxes. For more information please see the support section - here.
  • Fax Operations
    Allows users to define default dialing rules and feedback settings for outgoing faxes. For more information please see the support section - here.
  • Allowed Emails
    Allows users to set sending permissions in order to use ExtraFax Cloud's email to fax service, as well as authentication settings.
    To be able to submit faxes into the ExtraFax Cloud system for sending via the user's email address, the sending address must be defined in 'Allowed Emails'. For more information please see the support section - here.

Developers Options

Allows API customers to define additional settings for inbound and outbound faxes. For more information please see the support section - here.
